With 15 years of experience working with companies ranging in size from boutique and large-sized law firms, non-profits, and publicly traded corporations, Adam is a multidimensional CPA experienced in corporate GAAP accounting and financial systems and applications. Colleagues have referred to Adam as the “plug and go accountant” leaning on his accounting acumen and resourcefulness to hit the ground running for new clients, saving critical project time and valuable company resources. His personable approach has enabled him to build collaborative relationships across functional departments and levels of management, which drives his results-based approach to bring clients value and assurance their needs are met with accuracy, integrity, and on-time.
Across multiple industries that include pharmaceuticals/life sciences, retail and legal, Adam has built a portfolio of experience that adds agility to his practice and clients; whether it’s complex balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, accounting for investments, inventory, 10-Q & 10-K tie-outs and disclosures, or fixed asset management, he excels in dynamic accounting departments faced with the demands of SEC reporting schedules or small companies trying to manage growth and bring their accounting functions up to speed. Building an efficient and effective accounting department begins with a bottom-up approach; leveraging his early career experience in all areas of operational accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable/collections, and billing/revenue) Adam is adept at pinpointing bottlenecks and inefficiencies ripe for process improvement. Using his extensive knowledge of financial systems and software, he advocates the importance of using the full power of today’s financial systems to optimize accounting processes and when necessary bridge system incompatibilities with the use of Excel's advanced formulas and pivot tables.
On a personal level, Adam was raised in Palo Alto, California and prior to attending college served 4 years on active duty in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, he was awarded multiple campaign service medals and still applies many of the life lessons gained to his business and personal life. In his free time Adam can be found in the outdoors on his bike, hiking, skiing, exploring landscape photography, and traveling in search of great food and cultural experiences.
